Check out my recent review of If Cane Could Talk on Goodreads. It is a solid companion to Dark Roux, giving much more of the political and social context of South Louisiana. The characters quickly draw you in and the setting is pitch perfect. Mais y'all come pass a visit to Atchafalaya Parish!
