No more virgins

That's it. I'm not going to be using "virginal wilderness" any longer. I've been schooled.

First, it is slut shaming, suggesting something "touched" is somehow impure. It totally takes attention away from the "toucher." Which brings me to the second thought. If wilderness is impure, it is us who makes it so. We, natural beings that we are, somehow render ourselves invisible and redefine ourselves with this one phrase.

What if we reversed this idea? Instead of seeking out virginal wilderness what if we sought out pure humans? It's more than organic cereal and sustainability constructed clothes. But what is it? How do we purify ourselves? How do we become the wilderness again?
